Think international marriages don't last? Think again!

I had a friend send this to me from an article they read online:

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reports that "...marriages arranged through these services (International Dating Agencies) would appear to have a lower divorce rate than the nation as a whole, fully 80 percent of these marriages having lasted over the years for which reports are available." [2] The USCIS also reports that "... correspondence services result in 4,000 to 6,000 marriages between U.S. men and foreign brides each year."

Wow! Even myself, a proof positive that international russian marriages work was surprised at that figure. 80%! 4 out of 5 marriages are relationships that last! I am not sure what the current national average is but I do remember hearing it was getting close to only 50%. How very sad.

I think that international marriages work better for 2 reasons- one being that the people involved are up front with what they are looking for. Western men usually try marriage agencies / international online dating when they are ready to settle down and are looking for women with old fashioned values that match their expectations in a russian wife and two that there is so much at stake for both woman and man that they take the time to properly introduce, communicate, and ensure compatibility. Alot of readers of my blog I am sure are men thinking that they are putting themselves out there on the offer of commitment but do not forget that FSU Women, Ukraine women, etc are risking everything- leaving behind family, friends, everything they have ever known- so the love must be strong.

Remember that and make sure your love between you and your special russian lady is strong <3. It is vital to properly foster open and honest communication between both parties and keep this going to ensure proper courtship. Be yourself and let the rest come naturally, it is important that your russian woman comes to love you for who you are and you can put your energies into your relationship and not energies into pretending to be someone you aren't. This is a big part to gaurantee success and happiness with your future russian bride.
